About Lord Black
Lord Black is a passionate defender of press and media freedom and free speech in the United Kingdom, the European Union and across the Commonwealth. He is Chairman of the Commonwealth Press Union (CPU) Media Trust and was the President of the European Newspaper Publishers' Association (2014-2015). In June 2015, he was appointed President of the Institute of Promotional Marketing.
He is actively involved in a number of the industry's most significant charities as patron of the Rory Peck Trust, President Emeritus of the Printing Charity and President of the Journalists' Charity.
